Queer Is A Tender Feeling: Exploring Drag Through Documentary

This documentary project explored contemporary drag through research and interviews with drag artists. Primary research was collated through a series of interviews conducted both in-person and online over a four-week period. The project culminated in a final screening at Bath Spa University on the 18th of May 2022. One of the main conclusions of the project was that drag can be a powerful outlet for gender non-conforming people to explore and express their identities within the safety of theatricality. The project also allowed the researcher to explore their own relationship to drag.
