About Me

I am a dance artist, poet, theatre maker, writer and general all round creative based in Bristol. I graduated from Bath Spa University with a first class degree in Dance & Drama in 2022. Whilst at university I had the chance to learn from and work with choreographers and theatre makers such as Laila Diallo, Chris Pirie, Theo Clinkard, and Kennedy Muntanga. I have experience in choreographing, teaching, theatre-making (both online and in person), and film-making. I also have some experience in circus, specifically aerial and juggling.

In the past I have volunteered with Project Elea, a grassroots organisation operating inside Eleonas Refugee Camp in Athens, Greece. In my time in Eleonas I taught yoga, dance and theatre, whilst also co-ordinating a women’s programme and assisting with administration for Free Movement Skateboarding. During the first lockdown in March 2020 I taught an online dance class for Say It Loud Club, a London-based organisation working to support LGBTQ+ refugees. I have also been a teaching assistant with School of Larks, a Gloucestershire-based circus school that runs circus classes for children and adults. From September to December 2022 I worked with Creative Youth Network as a youth theatre workshop assistant.

I was a finalist at the UK's national poetry festival UniSlam in 2021 and 2022, and a finalist at the Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival Slam in 2022. I have performed my poetry with The Open Collab at the Hen and Chicken in Southville, and with Milk Poetry at NozStock Hidden Valley Festival 2022. I won the Milk Poetry Slam at The Wardrobe Theatre in November 2022, and came 7th in the Farrago UK National Slam Championships in February 2023. A lot of my writing is focused around articulating my experience as a non-binary/trans person, and being able to share that on stage gives me autonomy over how I get to have those conversations. After spending so much time having to explain myself to other people, performing poetry has given me a platform in which I can give those explanations on my own terms.

I am currently working as a stage manager on MANIC by Raina Greifer, and I am a current resident on the EMERGE programme at Bath Spa University.
